Posted September 25, 2024 in AFL

AFL is a huge part of our Australian identity, with AFL and AFLW teams across the country helping to inspire the next generation.

At SEDA College WA, we’re proud to offer two AFL Sports Development Programs to help our students kick goals at school and in their future careers. Keep reading to find out more about these sport education options and what they have to offer!

West Coast Eagles Sports Development Program

The West Coast Eagles Sports Development Program is delivered in partnership with the West Coast Eagles. This AFL academy offers a high-quality sport education, with hands-on learning from industry experts.

Available for students in Years 11 and 12, the West Coast Eagles Program offers a wide range of unique opportunities. These include:

  • Work placement opportunities at the West Coast Eagles
  • Supporting community development departments at West Coast Eagles’ home games and working in the fan activation (BHP Fan Zone)
  • Learning leadership skills through coaching and umpiring accreditation and development
  • Delivering Primary School Clinics on behalf of the West Coast Eagles and sharing a love for the game with younger students
  • Exclusive tours of Mineral Resources Park and Optus Stadium

The West Coast Eagles Sports Development Program is available at the SEDA College Perth and SEDA College Bunbury MultiSport campuses. Demand for placements is high, however – so don’t miss out. Find out more about how the SEDA College WA application process works.
