At SEDA College WA, we’re thrilled to help fuel our next generation of soccer superstars. Our Perth Glory Sports Development Program is designed to combine a passion for soccer with hands-on learning opportunities with industry experts. Find out how!

The background to our soccer academy

The Perth Glory Sports Development Program is for students in Years 11 and 12. Unlike traditional education models, our Perth Glory Program offers hands-on learning connected to our students’ love of soccer.

It’s a unique opportunity to study sport in school, with access to industry experts and a one teacher, one student model that allows students to thrive. The program is also available at our SEDA College WA Bunbury MultiSport campus.

With Perth Glory FC and Football West as dedicated partners, this program opens up a huge range of experiences and opportunities to study sport in Perth and receive a sport education that’s truly second to none.

How does the application process work?

The SEDA journey is a six-step process that can take you from initial chats right through to graduation and beyond. Here’s what’s involved:

1. You hear about the program (in this case, the Perth Glory Sports Development Program) and can then book an information evening to find out more. We have several information evenings throughout the year, which you can book here.
2. The next step is to attend the information evening and book an interview with our SEDA College WA team. You will need to bring formal documentation to this interview. You can find the list on our enrolment process page.
3. If your application is accepted, it’s time to find your place. This is when you attend orientation, pick up your new uniform, and find out more about your new program. Your sport education has now begun!
4. Now it’s time to focus on making new connections. Get involved, make the most of every opportunity and focus on honing your skills both on and off the field.
5. Throughout your SEDA journey, you can rely on the support of our wellbeing team and others to help you reach your potential. As your independence grows, we’ll stand back to give you the space you need to shine, while always being there for you.
6. And that’s it – graduation time! When you graduate, the story doesn’t end there. You become part of our extended SEDA Family, with opportunities to give back to the SEDA College community and help our new students on their path.
