SEDA College WA Staff Visit Landsdale Farm for Team Building & Inclusion

Posted September 18, 2024 in Connecting with Community

SEDA College WA staff recently embarked on a fulfilling visit to Landsdale Farm, a unique space that combines hands-on learning with inclusivity.

Owned by Strive Community Services, Landsdale Farm provides educational experiences and supports individuals with disabilities, making it a shining example of how community spaces can foster growth and understanding.

Strive Community Services, an NDIS service provider, offers a variety of disability support services, including social activities, supported accommodation, and farm stay respite, further enriching lives through their inclusive approach.

During the visit, SEDA staff members from the education, business services, and student connect teams participated in a range of activities. They fed, groomed, cleaned, and walked the animals, learning about animal care and sustainable farming practices in the process. The team-building experience was not only a chance to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the farm but also an opportunity to deepen connections among staff while supporting a meaningful cause.

This visit demonstrated SEDA College WA’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and staff well-being. By collaborating with Strive Community Services, the college fosters a culture of inclusivity and support, benefiting both its staff and the broader community. The time spent at Landsdale Farm reinforced the college’s mission to create enriching experiences that positively impact personal and professional lives, all while supporting organisations that make a tangible difference!
