Bringing the Community Together Through Sport
Posted December 16, 2024 in Connecting with Community
SEDA College WA is proud to run a series of all-abilities sports clinics for primary schools and participants across WA, encouraging people of all abilities to have a go and grow their love for sport and fitness.
The clinics are run in collaboration with organisations including Workpower, ACC and Crosslinks, helping to create deeper connections with the local community.
Our students are at the forefront of each clinic, helping to strengthen their leadership skills and take learning beyond the boundaries of a classroom. This includes the planning and delivery of specific programs to participants, liaising with schools and stakeholders, and ensuring the clinics run smoothly.
The SEDA College WA all-abilities clinics take place each week in suburbs from Warwick to Mandurah in the Perth metropolitan area, as well as Bunbury through to Busselton in the South-West.
A Highly Successful 2024 Season
In 2024, SEDA College WA provided the community with over 64,000 participation experiences across a wide variety of locations. Through our VET facilitatory, I-VET, students completed various modules specific to planning, developing and implementing sporting sessions for people of differing abilities.
Through these learning opportunities, clinics were able to reach 4,703 participants. This has been a huge achievement, with the clinics set to continue strongly into 2025 and beyond.
