Our College is proud to partner with MADALAH. MADALAH is a not-for-profit organisation that offers secondary and tertiary scholarships to young Indigenous students.

Together, SEDA College and MADALAH can offer Indigenous students:

  • A scholarship covering the school/enrolment fee
  • Strengthening of their cultural identity
  • Regular Indigenous Leadership Program activities
  • MADALAH Mentoring sessions
  • Pathways and connections to higher education
  • Skills to gain meaningful employment
  •  1 on 1 support from the SEDA Aboriginal Engagement Coordinators and other Wellbeing staff

A key aspect of the program is to develop the next generation of young Indigenous leaders and role models and create a strong connection to the community. While identifying tailored pathways for our students into higher education and/ or employment, we aim to mentor and support our Alumni to increase their chance of success.

Disclaimer: SEDA College reserves the right to determine the number of scholarships that may be awarded each year and the value of the scholarship. Failure to participate in organised Indigenous activities may result in the scholarship being revoked.

Baldja mob - Indigenous Education and
Leadership Program

At SEDA College WA we continuously develop our learning environment to nurture the growth of our Indigenous students through the Baldja Mob Leadership Program.

Our program name is derived from the Noongar word ‘Baldja’ meaning ‘firmly united’. Our united group of Indigenous students from across Western Australia meet two to three times a term to promote our students’ cultural, educational and career development through engaging activities. We identify tailored pathways for our students into higher education and/or employment, and we aim to mentor and support our Baldja Mob alumni to increase their chance of sustained success both in wellbeing and career.

We look forward to welcoming our new leaders into SEDA College WA Baldja Mob and grow their skills to be GREAT role models within our communities and families.

We encourage applications from students across all regions of WA, boarding facilities are available to regional students. For more information regarding opportunities for Indigenous students please email info@seda.wa.edu.au.
